10,000 Travel Industry Professionals Read the Solo Female Travel Trends Survey Every Year, Learning What Women Want

The fourth annual Solo Female Travel Trends Survey has launched, to continue giving women who travel on their own a voice in the travel industry. 10,000 industry professionals read the results every year to better understand what solo women want.

Solo Female Travel is BOOMING, and women book over 80% of travel, and represent 54% of hospitality industry jobs. 

But little comprehensive research is done on solo female travel trends, so travel companies offer what they think women want – not what women actually want.

Solo Female Travelers, a tour company that empowers women through travel, have launched the fourth annual Solo Female Travel Trends Survey, which is collecting responses from thousands of women until December 19, 2023.

Running since 2020, this has become the largest annual global survey of its kind, with over 5,000+ yearly survey participants, and 10,000 yearly industry professionals who read the results.

“The purpose of the survey is to identify top preferences, interests, fears, and motivations surrounding solo travel for women, and make the insights and data freely available to the travel industry so they can better serve women.” said Co-Founder, Mar Pages. 

“Our survey data has been used by journalists, university professors, and research papers. It is read by 10,000 travel industry professionals every year and is the basis for many women-only tours” she said.

The 2023 survey is open to all women 18+, and every completed questionnaire is entered to win a share of $1,500 USD in cash prizes. 

There are two surveys – one for women who have traveled solo, and one for women who have not yet traveled solo. The survey closes on December 19, 2023, after which the insights will be shared to shape industry decision making.
