- The oldest building in Sofia is the Chruch of St. George Rotunda. It dates back to the third century and was built during Roman times. The church is still standing and has survived earthquakes and wars.

- Bulagarian yogurt is unique, and many claim is the best, thanks to the lactobacillus bulgaricus.
