- The names Iran and Persia are often used to refer to the same country. Iran is the legal name. Persia, was an ancient kingdom within Iran.

- Elements of Persian culture are lush gardens, luxurious rugs, and beautiful poetry. The English term "paradise" came from a Persian word that means "enclosed garden".

- Iran holds 10% of the oil reserves of the world. It's the 4th country with the largest oil reserve in the world.

- Iranian weavers make a mistake on Persian rugs by design. The reason is their belief that Only God is perfect. These world-famous rugs have been part of the Persian culture for more than 2,500 years.
